Ketua Harian Seknas Genta Pangan Mandiri, Jerry Kurniadi Lumelle, bersama tim berkesempatan melakukan audiensi dan silaturahmi dengan Kesultanan Banten pada Rabu, 4 September 2024. Pertemuan berlangsung di Serang, di kediaman Sultan Banten, Sultan Syarif Muhammad ash-Shafiuddin Ratu Bagus Hendra Bambang Wisanggeni Soerjaatmadja, MBA.udiensi dengan Kesultanan Banten, Bahas Kemandirian Pangan Indonesia
Dalam pertemuan tersebut, tim Genta Pangan memaparkan visi dan misi program Gerakan Nasional Tani Kemandirian Pangan (Genta Pangan) yang bertujuan untuk mewujudkan kemandirian pangan di Indonesia melalui pemberdayaan petani lokal, peningkatan hasil pertanian, dan ketahanan pangan berkelanjutan. Program ini berfokus pada kolaborasi lintas sektoral, mulai dari komunitas lokal hingga pemerintah dan sektor swasta, untuk memastikan Indonesia dapat mencapai swasembada pangan.
Jerry Kurniadi Lumelle, selaku Sekretaris Genta Pangan, menyampaikan bahwa audiensi ini juga dimaksudkan untuk memohon restu dan dukungan dari Kesultanan Banten terhadap berbagai program yang dijalankan Genta Pangan. Dalam suasana yang hangat dan penuh kekeluargaan, Sultan Syarif Muhammad ash-Shafiuddin menyambut baik inisiatif ini dan memberikan dukungan penuh. Sultan menekankan pentingnya kemandirian pangan sebagai salah satu pondasi ketahanan bangsa dan berharap agar Genta Pangan dapat terus berperan dalam memberdayakan para petani di seluruh Indonesia.
Setelah sesi audiensi, rombongan Genta Pangan juga diberi kesempatan untuk berziarah ke makam Sultan Syarif Maulana Hasanuddin, pendiri Kesultanan Banten. Ziarah ini menjadi simbol penghormatan terhadap sejarah dan budaya lokal, yang juga erat kaitannya dengan upaya pelestarian nilai-nilai kemandirian dan kedaulatan di Banten.
Pertemuan ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat sinergi antara Genta Pangan dan Kesultanan Banten dalam mewujudkan cita-cita kemandirian pangan nasional. Dengan restu dari Kesultanan, Genta Pangan optimis untuk melanjutkan program-program pemberdayaan yang lebih luas dan berdampak positif bagi kesejahteraan petani dan ketahanan pangan Indonesia.
