DPP Seknas Genta Pangan Mandiri menghadiri deklarasi Genta Pangan tingkat kabupaten/kota se provinsi Jawa Timur (sabtu, 10 agustus 2024)
Gerakan Nasional Tani untuk Kemandirian Pangan (Genta Pangan) tingkat kabupaten/kota se-Provinsi Jawa Timur diketuai oleh Agus Sudarsono mendeklarasikan diri ikut bergabung dengan program Genta Pangan Pusat di hadapan Budiman Sudjatmiko selaku ketua umum DPP Seknas Genta Pangan Mandiri , pada Sabtu (10/8/2024) di Lapangan Kecamatan, Tikung, Kabupaten Lamongan.
Deklarasi ini sekaligus pelantikan yang menjadi langkah awal bagi para penggiat pertanian untuk menjadi pengurus daerah dalam menjalankan program-program strategis guna mewujudkan kedaulatan pangan di Indonesia.
Setelah pelantikan, pengurus Genta Pangan tingkat kabupaten/kota di Jawa Timur segera dihadapkan dengan tugas-tugas penting untuk memulai konsolidasi organisasi. “Agenda terdekat setelah pembentukan pengurus kabupaten se-Jatim adalah konsolidasi organisasi,” kata Budiman Sujatmiko. Konsolidasi ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat struktur dan koordinasi dalam organisasi, sehingga dapat mendorong kemandirian pertanian dan meningkatkan produksi pangan.
Namun, Budiman juga mengakui bahwa kondisi pertanian di Indonesia saat ini masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan dan belum sepenuhnya mampu mencapai kedaulatan pangan nasional. Oleh karena itu, Genta Pangan akan mengambil beberapa langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan, salah satunya dengan mendorong generasi muda untuk bertani melalui adopsi teknologi pertanian modern.
